Our PTO

We want to thank each and every one of you for supporting the PTO! 

 

Atwater is fortunate to have such actively involved parents and caregivers who support the teachers, students, and quality of education at Atwater. 

 

As a parent or caregiver of a student enrolled at Atwater, you are automatically part of the PTO. 

 

The Atwater PTO strives to support the faculty and administration of Atwater Elementary in realizing the goal of creating and maintaining a fulfilling and challenging school environment for our students and supporting the families of our students.

 

 

We are most proud of the PTO Grants Program. Since 2005, this program has awarded grant requests of up to $2000 each to chosen applicants. This program could not happen without the strong support of our wonderful school community. Below you will find a sampling of items we have been able to purchase:

 Meetings
  
The Atwater PTO meets once a month, meetings are in person and rotate between the third Friday of the month at 8:30 am and the third Sunday of the month at 6 pm. Friday meetings take place at the school and Sunday meetings take place at Three Lions Pub. All are welcome to attend! 
 

Why should I come to PTO Meetings?

  • The number one reason is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help our school. The PTO is a great opportunity to become involved in your child’s education at Atwater Elementary.

  • Get connected! There is no better way to get involved in what is happening at Atwater.

  • Stay informed. By getting involved at Atwater, you will be part of the team helping to make positive changes.

  • Tap into a network. Come and share ideas, concerns, and experiences with other parents and educators in the community. PTO functions are an opportunity to meet other parents and teachers, build rapport, and be informed.

  • Be a role model. By becoming active in the PTO, you will demonstrate to your child the importance you place on education. Studies show children do better in school when parents are involved.

  • Speak Up. PTO offers a forum for exchanging ideas and making suggestions. It can be a way for you to express change more effectively at Atwater.
